What is Friendsmix?
Friendsmix is one of the newly developed free social networking sites designed as an Indie alternative to the already established mainstream communities connecting the human race. The concept and name "Friendsmix" along with the tag line "Get Blended" were a collaboration between Isaac Joseph Davis Jr. and Todd Withrow in a casual conversation in the summer of 2007; that quickly led to the formation of the new site. Friendsmix was officially launched in its BETA version in the winter of that same year and will make its official worldwide debut in the summer of 2010.
Anyone can join this online community. Membership is opened to everyone looking for free social networking sites.
Friendsmix is a community that connects everyone together. We use the term Get Blended as a statement to say that once you have signed up for Friendsmix -- you have officially been blended in the mix of friends on one of the top new social networking sites on the Web.
One of the coolest aspects of this online community is its ultra cool members and the platform that this online community was built on through the ONEsite Enterprise Platform . When you are a member of this online community, you gain access to a list of other great communities within the ONEsite Enterprise Platform .

IMPORTANT: Privacy Options
Members, if you want to prevent receiving unwanted messages, comments, or friend requests or you want to keep your profile or content private only available to your friends, then access privacy options under the profile tab.
Go to "MY Site" on the top right corner of the screen. Click on the link. Click on Profile Tab. Then, look for the first area that states "Message Center". Then choose the options that states "Allow messages from friends only"
Like Myspace and other social sites, you can also choose to make your site private to friends only, your content private to friends only, approve comments and approve friends, other settings are set up in this area to help members with choosing options that best fit their perfence.
Try this out, and you will not receive any new unwanted messages, comments, or friends requests.
Just remember that as the site grows and it is growing pretty fast now, members will be receiving a ton more of unwanted messages. My team will delete them as we can in a timely manner but updating your privacy options and flagging profiles will help us too.
